January Placement Program Graduates

The year has been off to a good start for the Placement Program - we've gotten multiple new horses (subscribe to our email newsletter to learn more about them) and helped rehome one very handsome gelding. Since the reduction of our maximum capacity in March 2020, we've gotten crafty using our network of aftercare charities to help directly connect retiring racehorses with suitable new homes.

The connections of Bona Fortuna reached out to CARMA seeking help finding a great second career and a new home for their stunning four-year-old gelding. Bona Fortuna made only three starts with his highest finish being seventh place. We think he will find his true calling will reveal itself under the care of Joell Dunlap with aftercare charity Square Peg Foundation.
